Exciting moss record

SW member and bryophyte county recorder for Oxfordshire, Jacqueline Wright, has made an exciting record of a moss called Orthotrichum straminium (common name, Straw Bristle-moss) on a willow in Slade Camp North. This is the first recent record of this moss in the county and is an encouraging sign that some of the scarcer tree-growing mosses are making a comeback.
