Get to the Oxford Ring Road and go clockwise to the 'Headington Road Roundabout',

Get to the Oxford Ring Road and go anti-clockwise to the 'Cowley Junction',
then see 'Red route' below(and Map)
Southeast Stadhampton Watlington Meet the Oxford Ring Road the 'Cowley Junction'; turn right - up onto Ring Road flyover,
then see 'Red route' below(and Map)

Blue route on Map. From the HEADINGTON ROUNDABOUT (Not rush hour)
Take the exit to Oxford and Headington;
Go to Headington centre traffic lights and turn left;
Go to next (non-pedestrian) traffic lights and turn left;
Go all the way up Old Road, over the bypass, up the hill to the car park.

From the HEADINGTON ROUNDABOUT (Rush hour alternative)
Go South on Ring Road towards Cowley;
Go on at 'local' traffic lights and onto next traffic lights;
Get into right hand lane and turn right at 'Homebase' (to Headington).
Continue following Red route on Map (below) from 'From Homebase lights'.

Red route on Map. From the COWLEY JUNCTION
Carry on along ring road to SECOND set of traffic lights;
Turn left at 'Homebase' (to Headington);
From 'Homebase'lights go up to 'Corner House' mini-roundabout and turn right;
Go to first non-pedestrian traffic lights and turn right into Old Road;
Go all the way up Old Road, over the bypass, up the hill to the car park.

By BICYCLE

From Oxford
Cycle (eastwards)up Old Road (Headington)towards Wood Farm, past the 'Crown and Thistle',over the Oxford Ring Road bridge and continue up hill to the car park where there is a cylce rack for locking up.
From Wheatley
Cycle (westwards)up Old Road (Wheatley)to the top of the hill, the car park is at the far end of the plateaux, where there is a cylce rack for locking up.

At the point where Old Road (Headington) passes over the Oxford Ring Road, there are shallow steps on the northside up which a cycle can by pushed.


On FOOT

Pedestrian entrances are as follow (Anticlockwise from Old Road Headington)
From the West
1. Keep going east up Old Road, Headington. Pass the 'Crown and Thistle', over the Oxford Ring Road bridge and up the hill.
2. Further south at the Horspath Driftway traffic lights('Homebase Store') there is an entrance into Slade Camp Field with access to Brasenose Wood.
From the South
1. At the eastern end of the Horspath Road Athletics track, there is a footpath across the lower fields to the hill, or Brasenose Wood (to your left).
2. In Horspath village, walk up Church Road until it becomes a rough track. There are entrances to the Country Park near to the bottom and top of the steep part of the track.
From the East
Keep going west up Old Road, Wheatley
From the North
Just west of the Thornhill Park and Ride traffic lights there is a footpath by the side of Nielson Ltd. Follow the path to the far left corner of the field, and climb the narrow path to Shotover.
